Seahawks Secure Play-off Spot with Nail-biting Overtime Victory over Rams.

Game-winning play in the extra period

Tight end Eric Saubert made the game-winning two-point play for the Seahawks.

Seattle staged a remarkable comeback to defeat the Rams in extra time, clinching their spot in the postseason.

Rallying from a sixteen-point hole in the final period, the Seahawks emerged victorious 38-37 at home, registering their fifth consecutive win.

While the Rams had become the first to earn a post-season berth earlier on game day, the Seahawks secured their place to the play-offs after a two-year hiatus.

With this result, the Seattle now lead their division's standings with a 12-3 record, supplanting the Los Angeles, who fell to the number five seed with an 11-4 record.

Game Highlights

Quarterback Darnold threw two interceptions but regrouped to make two scoring throws, including the second score to wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a six-point lead at half-time before Kenneth Walker III burst through for a long scoring dash for the home side.

Rams cornerback Wallace then took back Darnold's first interception for 56 yards, setting up a one-yard score by Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the final stanza, a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Nacua extended the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed ignited Seattle's hope with a spectacular punt return.

Darnold then found Barner in the endzone, and a converted conversion sent the game into an extra period.

Although Puka Nacua raced in for his another touchdown in OT, Jaxon Smith-Njigba responded in kind to set up the game-winning score.
